What do you think about that? Like the mixing of different races...
I asked my mom.
me: what would you say if COUGHCOUGH was [insert random race here]?
ahaha... :D. the response i got back was one i didn't expect... I've always thought that, yeah, my parents would prefer someone of the same race but they wouldn't RIGHT OUT object or anything. they'd just get over it... mom said she didn't like the idea of mixing... >_<. lol. like, i kind of understand where that's coming from. a lot of the korean ladies in church are married to hugeen/behgeen guys. and she said that from looking at them, and seeing what they go through, it would just be better if people just married same race. like, the culture difference and all. so she's against it. but she's like, it's okay if it's the same "color" LOL. so like jjoonggook/ilbohn people are okay...? LOL. my mom... -_-. like, i guess i understand... and i asked, is that biblical? (and then after having to explain what "biblical" meant, lol) she said something along the lines of, "I think that that's what God would prefer." and i was like...? im not sure... 'cause in a way, isn't that racist? but her reasons behind it aren't racist... she said, "it's a burden that you have to carry on for the rest of your life." <- o_0. lol.
me, personally, i like asian people w/chinky eyes. LOL :D it's like what she said, it frustrates me when other people don't understand what im trying to say because there isn't a word for it in english... or when they don't understand certain things. I don't think that God cares what race they are or what race they aren't. right...? not sure... >_< 'CAUSE LIKE, LOOK AT TOBY MAC. :D. haha. >_<.
and on a different yet slightly similar topic,
"you can't help it" <- about liking people... I THINK that you can... like, we like people based on the kind of person we are, whether we realize it or not. i don't care what anybody says on this one. :D. lol. yeah, it may take some time but yeah... like even in my life, i can see the changes in guys that i've liked in the past. which makes me happy 'cause it means im getting better. MUAHAHA. -___-;;. when i was younger (-_-) and not a "christian", i liked people who were also like me... like the whole freaking world. :D. and then i kind of "matured" in my faith but i was still really unsteady and kind of iffy about it. and then i liked guys who were also like that. and etc. so if it works that way, im sure it works in other aspects as well...
okay... this was a random post. -_-.
---
im soooo positive im going to get cut in soccer... i didn't go to saturday practice. gosh. im so lazy. i really need to stop >_<. im going to be screwed for college. w/like no sports ninth grade year. >________<. it's so weird because i look at people who didn't do sports and think they're stupid unless they have a legitimate reason. and after i COUGHquitCOUGH field hockey, i find myself constantly trying to justify and defend myself. -_-. i so stupid. but im glad i STARTED soccer at least. it's nice to not be lazy and get out and run. i like sports. even though i suck horribly. >_<. LOL w/my 7 minutes per half mile... i should try again and see how much better i got. :D.
it's okay joe, i don't think you're weird for going to gym anymore. :D.

hehe it's definitely NOT biblical to discriminate against race. All believers are one under Christ and are my siblings :D
that said, I prefer Korean girls too but mostly because of culture... Plus, korean girls are the prettiest, most beautiful girls on the planet! ;D i like korean girls with pretty eyes XP
very very wise that you figured out that liking someone is a choice. I think that liking someone INITIALLY may not be a choice, but continuing to like them is definitely a choice.
Love, is even more beyond that. Love is definitely not something that 'just happens' but its a commitment of sacrifice to someone (just as Christ showed to us :D)
and definitely as you mature, your eye for boys will also mature as well. We then stop liking boys/girls because of simple things like looks and chakhaeness, but really look deeper to things that will make him a good partner in Christ
hehe i always love talking about relationships :D
there's no surprise to find joe commenting on blogs related to relationship. Also not surprised to find that you are under heavy influence of Joe's "relationship" theory. (Note that I do not call it "Law")
Ethnicity of one does not correlate to the cultural background of the person as much as we think. However, every man and woman tends to seeking for a partner who resembles a lot like their own parents. No wonder people go for similar ethnicity.
About "liking ppl" issue, I do not fully agree with the idea that YOU can fully control over your emotion of liking people. I can tell you that we are so weak that we cannot really control our emotions either. No matter how much you don't wanna get mad, unless you are someone who just doesn't get mad, you will eventually explode due to your anger. If someone, whom you should never even consider, keep showing interest in you, it will be HARD for you to stay aloof.
Pray continuously that God will protect you from devil to play with your emotion. Maturity does not mean that you are immune to temptation. It just means that you acknowledge that you are weak and will rely more unto Him.
I'm grateful that you have passion to stick with God. Joe is a good brother and advisor.
Everyone is so... Lengthly, and divided into paragraphs. HAHAHA. -__-- I'm stupid. (8
Everyone's talking about relationships, I feel like it's cliche to be single now (Good thing I like to be cliche:P ). Anyways. I think we're drawn to similarity, and cohesiveness <-- is that a word. Like for me, I like friends who are simmilar (my ex-bf <-- -__- Was totally opposite of me, but we got a long, and then we just grew apart because we had no common ground). Idunno, maybe we just like to hang out with our race, because like luke said, it's a misconception as to which demographic will most understand us. I don't know about you, but sometimes, freidnship and more than frendship blurs the lines with a good friend. & it brings up what luke said, you don't really have control over your emotions, sometimes it just happens. This makes me feel stupid. Haha, ramble (;
It is Biblical. God forbade Jews to marry Gentiles. That's why we have Samaritans. But that was then, this is now. God doesn't prefer inter-racial marriage, not because of racism or hatred of other races, but mom is right.
He uses people like that to glorify him more.
Funny, I thought about this on the way home today.
And FYI, you lied to the 사모님. You are such a liar! I thought you were lesbian before.
